Discussion What does incel mean?

The literal definition means involuntarily celibate. Celibacy means without sex, as in a vow of celibacy that priests and monks take. So someone who does that without agreeing to the vow is an incel.

However, we consider escortcels to be incels, right? Although they regularly have sex with whores? What’s up with that? Regularly banging prostitutes is by no means celibacy.

However, in a cultural aspect, we still see them that way.

So that got me thinking. Can we make it official, can we make an adjusted definition of inceldom for all the exceptions we have made to the literal definition?

I think so.

And here it is:

Incel - A person who cannot achieve a romantic partnership with a reasonable amount of effort.

So this works, I think. Because an UNreasonable amount of effort would things we still as incel.

Things such as:

-risking a criminal record to see a prostitute (in most of the world). Escortceling.

- flying to a third world country to find a woman there and leverage a green card marriage.
Geomaxxing

-taking on outrageous debt to fix physical flaws with surgery and steroids.
Looksmaxxing

So yeah.
