Most businesses promote being green and zero waste for Public relation (For show not real) because their businesses practices promote planned obsolescence to get people get stuck in a yearly buying cycle of the similar product which increases their profits.
Yearly car models, phone models, graphics card models
Whole infrastructure of society would have to change to promote long lasting shells with easily upgradeable parts and advertising would have to change. Advertising now is if you don't look or own xyz you're not as cool as other people and you'll turn into an incel

The planet is going downhill slowly but surely. I wonder if humans will have enough time to escape the earth before it becomes unlivable.
