Brocel what's you thought & opinion on stoic philosophy
Only works for Chads
I discovered the Stoicism recently and some of it's philosophy coincides with Blackpillcope for losers. just stop feeling bro
Brutal truthThe core message is fine, have self control, try and reign in your emotions etc. But the trouble is that is an ideal that most people cannot achieve.
Some of it is ok some of it is unrealistic. I read "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius and it's all about controlling thoughts and the mind and not being too subject to the outside world/not worrying about what you can't control. Also these people who came up with this philosophy lived in a different time, a time of less distractions, no industrial revolution, no internet. Marcus was a fucking Roman Emperor. His life was easy, he was catered for. Very easy to have peace of mind when you live in the royal palace.
So yeah, take stoicism or ANY philosophy with a pinch of salt. It's best to read lots of different philosophies and just use parts that you agree with and put it into your own personal philosophy. Combine elements from different ones and you end up with a unique, tailor made one.
