What do you think of solo travelling?

Life has been pretty boring for me lately repeating the same cycle of rotting on my PC everyday. So I've been trying to think of other stuff I could do to make my life more interesting and I've been getting the urge to fuck off to some random country for a couple days. I've never been to another country alone before so it could also be a way to help myself become more independent and less of a manchild.

The Netherlands would be pretty cool I feel like even if it's full of tallfags. I could smoke some legal weed and maybe even try escortmaxxing for the first since it's illegal where I live. I just want to do something outside of the same cycle I keep repeating everyday.

There is just something sad about going to a foreign nation with the expectation of experiencing new things only for the crushing loneliness to take all the joy away as you see others experiencing life to the fullest with friends and family. Its hard for me to go outside normally. I cant imagine doing that in a whole ass new country.

I'd rather do stuff alone in a different country compared to my own because I wouldn't have to worry about running into people I know.

Maybe to a certain extent. I definitely feel anxious in situations that are normal for most people.

My agoraphobia is pretty bad so travelling is a no for me, but if you can somehow not feel super anxious while being alone in a different country, it might be worth a shot.

For me it kinda depends on the language and the place, if i'm going somewhere that doesn't speak english i'm gonna learn the language at least but to be honest it can be overhyped sometimes.

Have you tried it? If so what places have you been to? I wouldn't be that worried about the language in most cases cause it's not like I'm gonna be doing a ton of interaction and english is very common as a second language in a lot of places

Yeah to Germany, in hanover and berlin for some project. I would learn the language to a basic level to at least like how to ask for directions and ordering stuff so I know what the hell i'm doing and don't act like an idiot infront of everyone in public.

I live next to the Netherlands it’s a nice country, Amsterdam is very expensive jbut besides that very beautiful

Yeah that would be cool but america is way further of a distance for me so I haven't really considering actually travelling their despite wanting to.

Going to Japan would be cool but I guess the fact that it would be so different from what I'm used to would be part of the reason why I'd be reluctant to try it as a first solo outing

I hate seeing couples and families together. I hate hate hate hate it. For that reason, I wouldn’t enjoy solo traveling alone unless I went somewhere remote like the mountains or forest.
