Since it's the only thing I think about most of the time. For years I let my anxiety control how I viewed death, and I didn't see it as any kind of escape. I didn't trust it to end the suffering forced upon living things in life. Now I've come around to the view atheists most commonly have; I see consciousness and the mind as little more than a complex illusion. When you die the illusion our body-mind combination seamlessly creates breaks down, and we get to go away forever. When you think about it there's nothing better. None of our pain mattered or was even real in a sense, because death cancels and eliminates it as if it never happened. As if we never happened. On that cheery note, what's your personal view on death and why?
