Light Yagami, the MC from death note. I personally have him in my top 5 MCs of all time. But I know some people dislike him,

He would have killed all LDARcels. He became radicalized and wanted to kill NEETs

Prettyboy tallfag, aka should get executed

He'd want to kill us probably

Prob

But i like his character, the story is really engaging and I actually think he's pretty cool in terms of design

Monster > Death note
I haven't finished monster, I kinda just stopped watching it around episode 24. Nothing wrong with it but it is lengthy and there are stretches where nothing really happens

I think it achieves much better what Death Note was trying to propose, the duality between Doctor Tenma's humanism and Johann Liebert's nihilism, where it's superficial between Light and L, it's more like a war of egos between two players in a game of chess.

The show is lengthy enough to create an enigmatic atmosphere and make the monster frightening by reducing the number of times it appears on screen, because fear comes from the unknown.

Cool edit also.

but your explanation does make sense, I guess I'll have to finish it to fully give my opinion. Johan is very convincing as an antagonist though from what I've seen, I've always been moderately excited to see where the story go with him.

He should kill foids and chads

He's too smart and charismatic for a high school student, that's probably why fanboys love him. He seems like a creature from another world. Most of today's 17 year olds are childish imbeciles who watch tiktok all day long.

Thats the thing about fiction though, someone like him doesn't exist lol.

Depends on the task that the writer sets for himself, some readers like down-to-earth characters even if it is a fantastic plot.

True I suppose. I love Mob Psycho 100, despite the psychic nonsense
