when i was younger, i used to be scared shitless of spiders, and even though i've mostly gotten over that fear, i still don't like them.
i would not own a tarantula as a pet, spiders are too fucking freaky.
not only do they have 8 legs, but 4 sets of eyes, each eye containing 2 eyes, some spider species have less eyes or even none.
female spiders are bigger than the males and they also consume the male after mating with them.
once the baby spiders are born and grow up, they consume the mother.
in fact, male spiders have a detectable penis so when their finished impregnating the female, they can run away without being eaten.
plenty of spiders are also poisonous and i've heard that females can lay eggs inside electronic devices in your house.
just typing this about spiders makes me feel vary of one nearby and makes the hairs on my legs stand.
my more recent fears now are heights, the dark, space and apes.
me being scared of apes sounds weird, but you'll understand why after you watch this video.

as for space, the universe itself is absolutely massive and theres all sorts of scary shit about it if you look around.
for example, the andromeda galaxy is speeding towards our galaxy faster than the speed of a bullet, and is projected to merge with the milky way in 4.5 billion years.
the likelihood of the merge is uncertain, but the possibility is still there.

that should give you an idea on how fucking massive the universe is.
i've always been scared of the dark too, i still sleep with the lights on in my room because of this.
