Why was that the case?

Long story short I was young and wanted to be niche. I couldn't understand people who liked it when Unreal, Quake, Doom was so much better in many ways. Hated it until I played it, changed my mind.

The cool thing about these two games in the SaGa series is that you can play as different character classes including robots, and if you have a monster PC, you can become different monsters by eating the meat of defeated monsters. SaGa 3 is similar, but it also has cyborgs and beastmen as PC classes.

These two SaGa games for the Nintendo DS are remakes of Final Fantasy Legend II and III for the original Gameboy released during the early-90s.
