Went to a "Black Community Debate" at uni today.

I went in there thinking it would be a group conversation centered around political/social issues of the black community but instead most of the questions were about relationships and black celebrities drama like hip-hop artists, many of whom I've never even heard of.

What's so brutal about this is that I went in there trying to get out of my comfort zone and (hopefully) meet people or feel like I was apart of something (or whatever) but instead what ended up happening was that I left feeling even lonier than before knowing just how little I actually relate to other black people.
