People here are concerned about feds, and rightfully so. They ARE out there. We all know that. If we had a big meet-up they WOULD be in attendance. By far I'd say that's the biggest issue.

That being said, America First does AFPAC so it's not impossible.

If people want to play it safe then it is probably best to stick to small groups or maybe one-on-one, and to just be careful. Meet in public places, don't go along with anything crazy, etc.
