WW3 won't happen. Russia, China and North Korea together don't have enough power to defeat the allied forces. You understimate how powerful America is. No nation on Earth comes close to rival its military capabilities and technological advancements. If a major war breaks out America will still be left standing.

Russia has a larger nuclear arsenal than the US does.
I believe Russia has around 7000 warheads stockpiled of which 4000 odd are deployed by its strategic forces. The US has 4000 warheads with 2000 or so deployed by its strategic forces. Although assuming NATO becomes involved the British have an operational trident submarine with 16 trident missiles which can carry 8 warheads and piece and the French have a similar set up as well as air deliverable nuclear bombs both carrier and land based.
The US operates the Minuteman missile from silos all across the US as well as Trident missiles deployed on the Ohio class submarines. I believe the Minuteman can deploy 3 500KT thermonuclear warheads. Each Ohio sub has 20 D5 Trident missiles. 8 warheads a piece in the 500KT-750KT range. My guess is they also carry air dropped weapons on their carriers and various nuclear bomb stockpiles for their bomber aircraft at bases like Ramstein, Diego Garcia, Okinawa and Islip for deployment by B52 and B2 Stealth's as well as nuclear tipped cruise missiles.
Russia's main delivery method today is the SS-18 or R36 missile. I believe that deploys up to 10 500KT-750KT warheads each and is slated to be replaced by the RS-28 which can deploy up to 24 750KT warheads a piece. The Russians also have their bomber patrols which can deploy nuclear cruise missiles as well as other airdropped bombs.
The US has more sea based missiles. Russia has a larger land area. My guess is their missile forces operate smaller and older more mobile missiles which are a little older but are highly mobile. I heard they are also basing missiles on trains that travel all over Russia making them next to impossible to track. They have retired most of their sea based missiles these days though.
There will be no surviving a full exchange in the west. Probably the best place to be would be as far south as possible. Patagonia, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique or Rhodesia. The further south the less fallout you will recieve. You will have more time before the dust thrown into the upper atmosphere blocks out the sun. We will have years of permanent winter and minimal growing season even down in NZ. The snow will barely melt. Even when the dust leaves the atmosphere after 5-10 years the ozone layer will have been damaged and there will be large health effects from UV exposure like skin cancer and cataracts. Many people in certain parts of the world dependent on western grain exports will starve. There will be severe disruption to global supply chains and fuel supplies, fertilisers, agro-chemicals and petro-chemical products. Severe lack of spare sparts. etc.

The allied forces is basically just the United States with the help of the UK and France. Maybe Canada. Without the United States NATO is useless since the budgets, military equipment,etc come from the United States. The Russian and Chinese militaries dont necessarily need each other to be effective.
Also, how well could the United States wage war against China and Russia is they had to wage war from the continental United States. Without western Europe and Japan, South Korea and Taiwan as base of operations to launch from the supply lines to Europe would be massive. Imagine the Americans had to fight from the UK to Russia.
