I used to have that mindset, and in most ways still do. I do not block people who disagree with me. For example, I completely deny the racepill, but do not have any racepillers on my ignore list. I am more than willing to discuss issues related to inceldom with other people here, provided they're intelligent about it. Like you, I have strengthened my knowledge of faith and answering the "hard questions" that atheists ask. I learn what they ask, then discuss with professionals (I have asked two pastors IRL many faith-based questions I have encounter online) and I learn.
The ignore list is just for people who spam and post low-effort "content", which lowers the quality of the forum significantly. Mods refuse to take care of them, so I have done the best I can within my means. There are definitely people here worth having arguments and discussions with... and there are low effort spammers who are worthless talking to. My advice is to engage the former and block the latter. The user you quote that is not me is definitely the latter.
TLDR --> Online discussion is good, but only worth your time with mature people who are not low effort short bus spammers.
