This myth bothers me and I don't understand how anybody can look at the "capitalist" countries of the world and believe that. Big corporations have huge control over the state and use the state'ss political power to pass laws that keep out competition, to funnel tax money to them to manufacture economically unfeasible solar panels or whatever, to perform accounting and banking voodoo that creates nothing of tangible value but inflates their bank accounts. There's really not much capitalistic about that, and certainly nothing libertarian. I'm saying this not as a savage capitalist or anything, I'm critical of capitalism as well, but we live in a very state-run economy and then the misery it creates is blamed on capitalism and the state then grabs more control and doubles down on all the shit they were doing that led us here in the first place.

You're right in saying that corporations and the state are pretty much hand and glove at this point, and I agree. I more say that it's ultra-libertarian/capitalist in the sense that once you start going downwards from those corporations and have things like the "gig economy" which is shit like uber or all of these new food delivery apps you start having a very unregulated dog-eat-dog environment were everyone is basically on their own and has to compete for the scraps. It's much like the dating/sexual arena of our society.

Not really. Fascism tries to nest the collective into a perfectly harmonious body whose parts are all working together to form a greater society.
