well there's decades upon decades of old music, movies, tv shows, and books that you can dive into. I understand what you are saying completely, I find it pretty hard to get into anything made past 2018, but with most good things, sometimes you just have to look for it. There's probably something out there made recently that you will like, you just gotta search for it.

Yup. Every piece of media I consume has some sort of age, unless it's like a video game remaster, but in that case, I don't count that. I am kind of glad that there's starting to become a resurgence of "boomer shooters." Everything is the same, uncreative bullshit. I haven't watched television since 2014.

Oh yeah I've been building a digital archive for years. Everything I watch, and music I listen to, I download off torrents and store on my server. I've noticed I hardly need to upgrade the storage anymore cause there just isn't anything new that's worth keeping. I think Dune was the only good movie released in the past 3 or 4 years.

All these shitty reboots are absolutely killing me. I love the original Child's Play movies, so I tried out the new Chucky TV show and sadly found out it was basically just a gay teenage drama show, but with the Chucky doll being owned by one of the gay teenagers. I'm done. I'm just going to rewatch old movies and tv shows from the 80's and 90's from now on.

TikTok is like their MTV. When we came from school, and we would immediately turn on MTV, the difference is they showcased actual artists. I don't know what these platforms are showcasing... twerking, lipsyncing, reenactment. Is this all the youth produces and consumes? They all just copy eachother and do nothing original. If Kurt Cobain didn't exist until 2022 nobody would care. He'd upload songs with his band and it would get 50 views like everyone else's band online. They don't play rock and roll on the radio, they don't promote it on any of these platforms. Hip hop's completely dead, it's just mumbling and autotune. There's plenty of talent out there it's just the real talent doesn't see the light of day. It's the garbage that sees the light of day.
