Was there a particular moment in your life when you realized the reality of death, that you’re actually going to die one day?

Like all children and young adolescents, the thought of actual death seems like an absurd thing to even worry about, as you’re still in your youth.

But at what age did you realize the reality of death? That as slow and immutable as time and life may seem, you will eventually die one day and no longer exist, even if that day is many many decades away.

Was there a particular moment that you realized that?

Idk I kinda always knew I was gonna die but in middle school was when I began to fantasize about how good the relief of death would feel

i see.

I think I meant more of, when did you realize that life goes faster than you expect it? Which means that you’ll eventually die.

I have always thinking a lot about death since I was like 16 years old.

I will turn 20 this year. Its been a few years since I finished high school.

This is it. There is nothing more to do now. I beat the game. Now I will work until I die.

And each year seems to be passing faster than the year before.

Life doesn’t go fast for me. It goes very slowly and time crawls by much of the time

When I was twelve years old and my uncle died I started getting really scared of death as I finally realized just how permanent and sudden death can be.

I was in elementary school, probably 8 or 9. I rememmber pondering on the mistery of what happens after death.
