Great leader who made a plethora of stupid war time decisions. If he had stayed neutral during WW2 he would have gone down in history as one of the greatest statesmen of the modern era.

He was a great peacetime leader but a shit wartime leader. He did a lot of good stuff, especially in South Spaghettiland. He practically purged the Mafia in Sicily as an example.

As others have said already, he wasn't a good wartime leader, but he was rather astute and good at his job when it came to anything else.

Mussolini wasn’t anti- west, and certainly was anti-communist so as long as he stayed in his lane, the west would have played realpolitik with him the same as Franco.
More based than Hitler at least. Germans ruined fascism's image and are now spearheading the destruction of European via migrants and idiotic foreign policy. Of all the countries in Europe that deserve destruction Germany is number 1 and without competition.

Mussolini would have done the same. He was a pragmatist who recognized strength when he saw it, which is why he joined Germany as it was the rising power in Europe at the time. Had he remained neutral, he would have allied Italy with NATO against the Soviets.

Do you have a link to it? He probably respected how Stalin handled power and how effective he was as a ruler. Hitler also praised Stalin for his statesmanship, but of course this does not mean that they were ideologically close.
They were absolutely useless in ww2 and honestly just really made terrible soldiers in most other conflicts ever since the roman empire fell. italifags gotta stick to making pasta and being gay.
