I have astigmatism which is easily treatable via laser eye surgery.
I'm also slightly nearsighted but I'm at the point where, for one, I don't give a fuck.
Secondly, my eyesight is just barely good enough to pass most eye tests, so it really doesn't give me an incentive to go out for treatment.
I've been prescribed glasses in the past, but they look terrible on me, and honestly, all I do is stare at digital screens up close regardless.
So like, what's the fucking point having good eyesight if you're like me?
To answer your question, yes it is very true and is a direct indicator of shitty genes.
Think about it.
Imagine being a Paleolithic man with shitty eyesight.
You can't hunt.
You can't fight.
Your hand-eye coordination is dog shit.
Your ability to distinguish facial emotions is fucked (which is key for recognizing friend or foe).
Your ability to distinguish objects in the far distance, whether it be a tree or a wolf is fucked.
You're not only worthless to your tribe, but you're also worthless to evolution and the survival of the species.
So yes, people with better eyesight are genetically superior and more attractive than nerds who have thick-rimmed glasses with their eyes being magnified by x100 through their genetic fuck-up pass.
