Discussion Viability of speed dating?

So there's this speed dating meetup I've caught wind with a couple of towns over, about ~40 miles away. It's this coming Tuesday and I need input.

I want to find a gril who is interested in history, and want to filter uneducated roasties. I have a reproduction SS uniform, would wearing it without the armband signal that I'm a history autist? Help appreciated. Hopefully it's as big brained as it is in my head.
