I note that
you are not contesting my statistics about Jews in the Cheka/NKVD, but merely objecting to how I'm "framing" it. Well, in that case, I will
maintain frame and fill this frame with the story of Leonid Kannegisser:
Kannegisser was a homosexual Jewish-Russian veteran of WWI, who lived in Petrograd following the Bolshevik Revolution.
His lover (an officer in the Imperial Army) was arrested and killed by the Cheka in the summer of 1918, a crime which Kannegisser took revenge upon by assassinating Moisei Uritsky -- the regional head of the Cheka, who was also a Jew. In justifying his actions, Kannegisser was said to be restoring the "good name of the Russian Jews" by his family friend, Mark Aldanov (Jewish too).
Unfortunately, though, his act was only aberrational and the Jews of Russia became increasingly defined by their complicity in the murderous Bolshevik regime (Jews who opposed it did so mainly as members of alternative socialist-terrorist factions, like Fanny Kaplan; i.e. they were part of the same general paradigm). These were Jews who rebelled against the traditions of their parents, much like Boomers did after WWII; but instead of becoming drawn to bourgeoisie debauchery like Kannegisser, replaced one form of fanaticism (religion) with another (ideology) and were integral to the deaths of millions!
