Good point.. the divide in America used to be white NW Euro Protestants on one side and white ethnics and ethnics on the other side. But then the white ethnics got shifted over to the 'white' category with the new categories.

This has been going on for a long time especially in FBI crime statistics. They can be in MS13, look 100% Aztec, not speak a lick of English and will still be listed as "White." you need to have atleast 55-60 percent white DNA to be a white-passing latino (castizo), this guy is must have less than 55 percent white DNA (but if you have black DNA, this requirement gets higher)

Yeah, I know that Jared Taylor for example loves talking about this. When Hispanics are victims of a crime, those crime statistics list them as Hispanic, but when they are the perpetrators, those same statistics list them as white .

Reminder that as late as 1980 there were still efforts in the US to make white ethnics (Southern and Eastern Europeans) a minority group distinct from other whites.
