This kind of marching is overdone and unnatural and serves no other purpose than to look good on TV. The Chinese are not culturally militaristic. I looked at a sociological study of Chinese youth from 2021 and there the profession of military/policeman was at the very bottom of the list, second to the profession of civil official servant, businessman and professor/scientist. Among other things, the army in the PRC has a bad reputation in the sense that there is an opinion (I learned from the same sociological study) that people who go to the army to build a career in the PLA are considered either stupid people, since they could not become civil servants, or come from poor families. In fact, the modern military history of China does not shine with any bright victories, with the exception of the victory over India in 1962.
