I often see people using this as an argument to prove that beauty is not objective "i see a lot of scrawny short men in relantionships", yeah i see it sometimes too but they girlfriends are always ugly as fuck, they are only with them because they have no better options, they are both with each other because they cant find anything better not because beauty is objective, she may even be attracted to him because he has a nice face but if he was tall and had a big frame she would find him way more attractive, and if she had the option to choose a tall guy with a equally attractive face she would choose the tall guy, beauty is objective.

A fat/short/ugly guy got a girlfriend, therefore every fat/short/ugly guy should be able to willfully reproduce the same actions and aquire the same result, a girlfriend. People are oblivious to just how much coincidence and happenstance come together to make anything happen in most people's lives. With the case of outliers, I always see extenuating circumstances that explain the anomaly. Usually the two ended up in some situation where they were around each other for an extended length of time allowing for some level of pair bonding to occur without a sufficiently attractive rival to ever show up in the foid's life.
