Trying to learn Indonesian - any Indonesians here?

I have been learning Indonesian for a short period of time now as a cope and as potentially useful knowledge. I want to know more about Indonesians and life in Indonesia. I will also be grateful if someone can help buy and send a real songkok.

I don't know yet where this will lead. I use Duolingo and downloaded a good tutorial but haven't started it yet. It is difficult to listen to the programs because of the pace of speech, however, this is much more about my modest dictionary, since familiar expressions in speech are sometimes recognized.

Maybe try watching shows for babies and kids in Indonesian and naturally pick up the language

Good idea, thought about it. Although, in fact, languages must be learned in a natural environment. I would like to live in Indonesia for a year, doing some simple work with immersion in the language environment. If this would bring money for a modest corner

hmm... well i cant recommend any learning sources as there are not much to come by, but i guess if you want to talk or have any questions ill try to accomodate.

i dont know but living cost in indonesia is very cheap. im a uni student and i live on 120 a month (with rent!) in jakarta.
