When trump won last week I must admit that I was slightly hopeful that we would see America shifting to an isolationist or at least more isolationist state due to trumps promise of “I don’t start wars I stop them” and this was reinforced by his remarks to Putin and Bibi. He told the former to not escalate the Ukraine war and that negotiations would be on the table in January. He told Israel to finish up their war before he gets into office so that he won’t have to worry about it. This honestly had me hopeful although still largely cynical of the foreign policy that the U.S. would take.

Then this week comes around and we see who trump puts in cabinet. Hopes were high when he said that Haley and pompeo would not be joining the cabinet but all he did was replace these people with other AIPAC funded neocons. MAGA has become the swamp.
