I am not rich. My budget for next travel itinerary is literally 1k a month. Cheap af airbnb + cheap food + cheap shit economy flights + cheap public transport. Just go theory. Just make that first step.

You don't need to know the language except in places where they speak 0 English, but you can just Tokyo maxx and they will actually prefer it if you don't even try to speak your broken Japanese. Besides that, just go and learn about some basics customs and the most common scams of your destination. Just look at what your passport can do for you, for example I will go to Taiwan through mainland China, I don't need a visa for this process because I can travel visa free to both Taiwan and mainland China. If you have a short stop somewhere, you need a visa.

I booked the hotels on a third party app, either booking.com or expedia, but you can also go for AirBnb. One time I just booked a random hotel when I was there to save money on app costs. Train ticket, the machines can be in English.

If I wanted to ask something I asked in Japanese, I would ask ChatGPT how to ask for something and what the response could be thereafter and I just used that to ask for stuff. But yk, you can literally just use a translator app to communicate.
