I was maybe 4 yo when I watched Toy Story - it gave me the creeps for my entire childhood lol.
First of all it was the first ever 3D animated movie - so it was quite different from your regular 2D movies. After I watched that movie I thought my Toys have secretly souls in them and would awaken and stalk me when I sleep or am not aware - similary how they have done with that cranky kid whos the villain of the first Toy Story movie.
It also made it so that I did not even touch any toys in my Kindergarten place. All kids were rampaging with the toys and my 4 yo ass was just sitting at a chair watching what everyone else is doing thinking the toys would not like being 'mishandled like this'.
Surprisingly my fear of living sentient toys is somewhat deeply rooted in my brain. After age 9 and watching Toy Story 3 I stopped beliving Toys are alive but still even now I think about how some of these movies have impacted my life.
Despite that Andy gave his Toys away at the end of movie 3 - because the only Toys he was interested by then were for sexual bdsm play with his girlfriend - I still have a Toy Box similar to his with a lot of the toys from my 4 yo self that I had stored away for an eternity and only looked at once in a few years to undust and clean them.
They dont have a lot of value, because Gen Alpha kids dont collect or play much with toys and general purpose toys like Action Figures similar to Buzz Lightyear and Woody are only collectivables for older people.
The 4 year olds these days only care about their favorite influencer, beauty products and seemingly a lot of Elementary school boys have already discovered looksmaxxing.
