When you think about it, The Room is pretty much based. You have a nice guy Johnny who works in a bank, treats his girlfriend very good, has future, and is being cucked. His slut manipulative girlfriend is whore who fucks around with his best friend. She is highly manipulative and don't have any morals. She make total chaos and destroys life that he has been building for years. In the end he gets nervous breakdown and kills himself.

The plot is pretty much realistic and shows people what is cuck life.
