A few minutes later, 2 preteen girls (12-13yo?) walk thru the playground to hang out on the swing set. Giggling and talking to each other. But about 15-20ft behind them was a 30-40yo strung out creeper dude who couldn't take his eyes off them. My gut was screaming he was up to no good. He looked high as fuck on meth. Before the girls arrived, I had already picked up my kid to walk back to our car. But as we walked closer to the entrance, I heard the creep was mumbling "I shouldn't, I shouldn't. Not now." He saw me watching him like a hawk. We made eye contact and he immediately turned around and started walking out of the park. But he kept stopping to look at 'hiding' spots within eyeline to the playground (behind a big tree, behind the bathroom building, and next to a big forest) I kept positioning myself in a way so he could still see I was very obviously watching him.
