Yet goodlooking Yamcha was always a fucking loser, even in comparison to Krillin. On the other hand mentalcel Tien had girl chasing him(that weird one that change personality and hair after sneezing), probably just because he was tall as fuck.
And actually Vegeta probably had better genetics. He was much stronger at beginning, even without training too much in his life. Goku was training constantly, fighting with opponents who were equal to him, and in the end he won with Vegeta only because he learned op techniques, and few people helped him(without Krillin, Gohan or even Yairobe Goku would lost). He archieved super sayian level only because he was angry at Frieza killing Krillin, Vegeta didn't care about anyone at this point of his life.
I quess dbz is about pushing trough your limits, and archieving something beyond it. It doesn't work in dating, but I quess it could work in gymcelling. You could be weaker initially but through trainings and lifestyle you can become stronger than someone with better genetics. And if now at least it was a nice cope in 80's and 90's.

DBZ is pure blackpill.
Tien was the most high effort character ever but as a human he couldn't get anywhere.
Mid tier raced characters like the pure Saiyans could get far but it also required tons of effort.
High tier characters like the human-Saiyan hybrids could get farther than their fathers with less training.
Top tier characters like changelings (Frieza), demons (Majin Boo) and androids were insanely strong by default.
It's all about the genetics you were born with. "
I fucking hated that, Tien, Krillin were one of the my favourite characters. I couldn't care less about just another ssj level. But still, dbz is way way cooler than db super or any other new shit. There were few awesome moments even for weaker characters(without breaking rules of probability like old fuck master roshi who would be smashed by raditz fighting on tournament) like Tien stopping cell in his second form or Piccolo(another great character, one of my favorites) together with Tien, Yamcha and Krilling helping Gohan defeating Perfect Cell
