If you, as a male, tell a woman you’re 5’3”, she’ll think you’re joking. Women assume every short guy is 5’7”. It doesn’t even register in their brains that men can be shorter than that.
I knew a guy that was like 5’5” tops, but his license said 5’7” (you pick that number yourself). He managed to have a very short relationship with a girl his same height, but she described him as 5’7”. I don’t think it even registered to her that it’s not possible for them to be the same height if he’s as tall as he says he is.
