Anyone can relate? Since around 1,5 years already i developed a tiktok addiction. In my free time, bored time at work or public transport i use it constantly it gives me some dopamine rush because it delivers entertainment but also short information about certain topics that interest me. Im not sure if this will fuck up my brain completely in couple of years if i dont quit.
I just dont know what else i should dontonfill in the time gaps, it seems boring just to not look on my phone and scroll rather than just sitting and having to confront my inner thoughts.
My scrren time per day sometimes is 12 hours, im really an internet addict.
I want to improve my life and become better but its just so addictive and i dont know where to start if i want to actually do something productive like start a business or whatever.

yes ive been addicted to it for 3 years and it has served absolutely zero benefit for me apart from learning cringe zoomer terms pissing in my sink would be more productive
 
I sometimes get disgusted by reels and delete insta. But when it's based again I get back at it.

Yeah, it kinda helped me relate to people my age better. Before I was like weird af and quiet, I’m a bit better now, and know what phrases are culturally relevant

What have you learned from the Tiktok shorts?

I never had Tiktok, but Youtube shorts are a huge time waste/addiction trap as well.

I tend to ignore them, but its hard. Youtube is the only Social Media I have left (or ever really had).

Here are some Tips to not waste your life on phone, because I consider it my enemy too and a reason for loneliness and possible inceldom:

1. Delete all useless Apps. That includes all gaming Apps, all Social Media Apps (all of them really).

-> You can still access them from rhe browser, except Tiktok

2. Install BlockerHero App. This App is great for helping with porn addiction (it you have one) and also helps with Nofap!

Here you can disable generally shorts. But it does not work for Browser shorts on Youtube unfortunately.

3. Install YourHour App.

This shows yout overall phone usage, when and how you used it and Ob what level you are. You are likely addicted. Many are. Gen Z use their phone 6 to 8 hours per day.

Ultimately you need a Time Management Plan and how to "fix" your life to beat Internet addiction.

The actual best thing that reduced my usage is - I simply pretty much know everything ;) and everything I don't know at this point I dont WANT to know.

I dont like disable apps because whats the point
If you want to quit you quit if you addicted then you still will disable the block app

Deleting all social media apps is impossible because i will loose contact to 2 people i text with

But yeah time management is a good idea but i need some mentor who teach me on what to spend time with
 
I deleted ChinkTok years ago, its normie territory. I spend most of time online either with gaming, YouTube or .is
