Gaming Thoughts on my idea for an under-water Minecraft base?

Plan do do something similar to this where I make a cavity in the ground, except that it will be submerged within that body of water.

Thoughts on this?

Blocks I am thinking of using use : Dark wood, refined stone ( mixing any stone variation ) and quartz. Maybe dark-oak too.
