I am a Francoist. I believe life in Spain was better under his rule. He made many LGBT writers flee the country and even killed one (Federico García Lorca).
He was never xenophobic, hard to be when nobody wants to move to your dictatorship thus I feel he would have been fine with Catholic immigrants such as myself. But he made Spain leap forward, especially by building dams and roads.
