I really hope that the live-action version is better than the original 2010-version. The original was fine to entertain little kids, but 15 years later the audience will expect a funnier experience.

The problem with race swapping - is it is never explained why the race swapped character looks different from the rest. That one black Viking had sex with a white Viking-foid and they created biracial Astrid...

I hope this movie is a success, despite it being based off the work of a foid-author!

I'm watching the 2010-version on HBO Max right now, and I can't help think, "Why don't the Vikings just get in their ships and sail to a different land that has no dragons?
