How does it punish it? Movies and tv shows are made gloriying gangsters and thugs and even when the point is that they suck as people, audiences still support and love them. Thugs still get a welcoming blowjob when the get out of prison.

I'm not talking about life. There are guys who get maybe 10 years at most for murder. And people still like them. Sure they get punished harshly for violent crimes but I'm mostly talking about the casual cruelty you see from people in every day life.
