Imagine going to a therapist and paying $200 per hour to tell them in crystal clear detail how awful and traumatizing it was to grow up being treated like shit your whole life for being autistic, or ugly, or ethnic, or small, or whatever. Imagine recalling every single horrible incident burned into your mind where you were degraded and put down or rejected and made to feel like you were nothing. Then imagine being told that this was all in your imagination because "those things don't actually matter and maybe you're just remembering wrong or overreacting."
Do you think that psychologists spend any time in school learning about what to do to help aging unattractive virgins who can't get laid? Do you really think that's part of their school curriculum? Do you think they have ANY specific expertise on this issue in any way?
The primary thing they know is CBT which is based on the assumption that your depression is due to "thought errors" which need to be corrected. What if there is no error? What if you were truly treated like shit because of exactly the factors you remember? What then? What can they offer you? Sympathy at best?
Well if that's all you're going to get, which is better? Sympathy from a normie who can't even imagine what it would be like to experience the life you did? Or from your fellow incels who have lived through the exact same things?
I am sure therapy has some valid applications, but from the reports of everyone on this site who has been to therapists and just been fed transparent bluepilled lies as their "treatment," this site seems infinitely superior as a source of support and help. People here won't lie to you. They will tell you the fucking truth. This shit is hard to deal with and it never gets easy.
You can't lie your way out of the awfulness that goes with inceldom. The best we can do is keep trying to improve to try to get above the cutoff threshold women apply (although that keeps rising every year) or cope. Both of those things in my opinion are easier to do from talking to bros who have been through it than talking to a normie who has never suffered a single day in their life from any of this and likely has zero specific training to address it.
Serious question and I am sincerely interested in experiences even to the contrary of what I just said: Has anyone gotten anything good out of "therapy" and what was it?
For my part, I am fairly certain I would have gone crazy already or killed myself long ago if not for being able to talk to people who get it on sites like this and 4chan before it.
