Only VN adaptations that don't suck are Steins;Gate, Utawarerumono and Clannad After Story. I guess the more recent ones like Atri and Summer Pockets seem fine

The problem is that VNs are waay too long, which is expensive to make in an anime. Higurashi and White album 2 are pretty good still, i got into the VNs thanks to the anime.
Umineko's was a joke, so a good rule of thumb is to always doubt the adaptation

I'm not anywhere productive enough to do something like that lol. For recommendations i usually browse r/Seinen to get some juicy seinens other than that i just use Anilist and check recommendations for the things i like.
For example https://anilist.co/manga/172619/Academyeseo-Saranamgi/, the extra survival academy has quite a bit of reccs which end up being similar to it.
definitely the best manwha of the transmigration genre atm. this genre is blowing up rn and im hoping for similar quality works soon.
It takes effort to actually make an anime intro suck.
It was a breath of fresh air that's for sure, i love harems so that's a plus.
