You are correct. The reason women were not attracted to us is because women are shallow creatures that are unable to act against their nature (ie selecting to mate with only the best physical genes no matter how good or bad of a person the male is) and most of us know that even if we become a betabuxxer, women have a tendency to cheat the moment they find a man with suitable genes
