I must agree wtih you, but being unpleasant to other works in almost every area of life.
When I frist got my work I tried to be nice to everyone so you know they will kinda accept me in a workplace, but in short:
1. They didnt care if Im nice.
2. They didnt respect me.
3. They didnt even pretend to be nice in return.
4. They used it for their advantage aka wanting me to help them with everything they could do alone if they just fucking tried.

So what I did I simply started saying "no" and "fuck off". Out of sudden they started at least pretending they are nice to me, and because sometimes I helped them sometimes i didnt, they didnt take my help for granted and started respecting it that I help them.
I know, this is basic stuff that parent should teach. Yea, SHOULD, but most parents are either complete imbeciles or sadists and probably a mixture of both.

There was even a situation when a foid hit my arm like 2 times and I fucking hit her back with a much stronger punch. She had to act that she didnt like it, but I saw it in her eyes that she did like it, and then she was more resepctful towards me. Of course she couldnt go to HR because she hit me first twice.
