Imagine being average 20 year old conscripted Ivancel that was sent across Volga to defend Stalingrad against conscripted Fritzcels, fierce fighting between both armies of mostly young single men has been going on for months, city is razed to the ground, all you see is ruble, muzzle flashes, planes above you and corpses/limbs scattered everywhere. Minus thirty degrees, disease and starvation is rampant, you can barely sleep cause the battle is going on non stop from apartment blocks, streets, factories, grain elevators to sewers. You end up crippled but somehow you survive the most gruesome battle in history of mankind victorious.

At the end of the war what do you see? Men not even given a proper burial and in most cases just left there to lay and be used as fertilizers furthermore just becoming a statistic in some archive. All these stories worshiping strong women who equally contributed to war effort by working in factories safely many kilometres away from the front, few women in Stalingrad that were snipers in low activity concealed areas behind men or pilots in outdated biplanes doing reconnaissance of some random empty nearby steppe getting all the attention, etc... But perhaps the most insulting thing of all is this huge statue of a woman with sword built upon soil littered with male blood that cherishes a victory of MOTHERLAND. It's literally called Motherland Calls and her expression basically says go die for me simp.
