Issue is that everyone's sense of reticence varies. The guys you describe as "boring and quiet" would probably seem to be loudmouth cunts from my perspective. I never saw anyone with a bitch at college who didn't look like a normiemaxed fag. I never saw couples carting each other around in silence - the guy could be a jocksucker, a twink, a hipster, a bugman, a totally nondescript normie, but there was always the omnipresent din of vocal fry and clicking tongues swarming in the air. No one was ever as quiet as they should have been and, crucially, no one was ever visibly different or out-of-place.
