Actually, let me contradict your statement by bringing up the psychological definition of introversion: a person characterized by concern primarily with his or her own thoughts and feelings. Falling into such a category of individuals is more or less not dependent on your physical appearance. Chad can be introverted too, from a psychological standpoint. As can an incel be an extrovert.
Admittedly, based purely on anecdotal evidence I would say that a majority of introverts would fall into the lower half of the appearance scale distribution, but I cannot testify for that. Truth is that personal experiences influence the way man relates with society, and it can only be inferred that because of rejection one could much easier become reclusive.
Yet, as it is with this concept, it does not influence in any way one's capacity to find a mating partner...
