If you're Turkish and get you get "West Asian" on DNA testing, that is not Turkic, although "West Asia" involves all those other places in the middle-east, the chances are you're of Anatolian or Persian or various Black-Sea ethnicity (not Arab, unless you also have partial North African dna, as all Arabs have North African dna, so if you have no Middle-Eastern DNA, but you have West-Asian, that is Anatolian), not but also not Turkish. Turkic appears as central-Asian in DNA tests.

The difference between a Turkish person with Turkic Central-Asian ethnicity vs a Turkish person with Anatolian/Balkan/Greek/Persian/Black-Sea ethnicity is pretty obvious.
