As you can see in this 2005 study, scientists have discovered a gene that activates when one is watching the Japanese cartoons.
This got me thinking, so I thought about why some Anime fans act so.........Animeish. Like they do jumpy expressions, say Japanese one-liners while also mispronouncing said one-liner, cosplay, have collections of Anime merch, and lastly, pretend they are as Japanese as any other Japanese person.
The reason why? It's because they have cancer.
