theory:1998 was the last good year.

There wasn't AI back then, so I prefer staying in this century so I can have an AI girlfriend.

AI does more harm than good and porn exists.

2006 is more like it imho. Pic related:
2007

literally the beginning of the its over years for me...........................
Same tbh. 2006/2007 were the beginning of the end for me.

I would say 2012 was when everything truly went to shit.
Tinder made dating into gacha even for normies and the proliferation of smartphones created the dysfunctional society we live in today.

2012 was truly the end of the world, but not the way we thought it back then.

This but for me 2007-2009 were the last normal years before smart phones and social networks became the norm. Facebook already became the norm in around 2009, I remember how much I became depressed seeing all the normies libing their ignorent blissful social lifes, while I was rotting alone imegining myself in their place.

I could say up to 2001 even. There were more whites.

The best year was before the ww1 when you can easily get a girl in your town without completing with thousands of dudes

Brutal, Id love to have a woman with a low bodycount, Virgin is better but at this point we cant choose, Some women have it in the 300ds. I think 1 is better than 300.

1998 was a good year. I was 7 years old and i played games on my moms windows 95/98 computer, Heroes of might and magic 2, Liero, Warcraft 2. I also messed around with Microsoft paint. She also had Linux prior to getting windows 95. The computer room really smelled like electronics, not like today.

I had my first homework in 1998. It was to color a rabbit. Next year i remember when Colombine happened and my teacher said: "Its a shame those boys did what they did"

I also played super Nintendo games with my friends. Donkey kong country 2 and 3 and sim city, illusion of time, Zelda a link to the past etc.

I also remember that me and my family watched the macahans (How the west was won) On the TV in the basement while eating toasted sandwiches from the oven and drinking grape tonic.

I also started playing drums around 1998. And i began painting Warhammer around 2000 i believe... I can't really remember much more from 1998.

I would say that the last good year was 2007 though.

Dawn of the iPhone was not good.

I look back on my time when technology became a big thing in my family as the downfall, obviously you can go to the actual release date of the iphone as 2007, but it still took a bit for it to catch on and become really popular and for normies to talk about it a lot. I feel like 2012 the latest was actually good even though I was only 10 years old then, back then it felt like technology was just a side thing in life but now technology is everything and everywhere and its apart of the problem of inceldom and lonliness to me. Before that the internet was something you would just go on the computer for for a bit but not everyones on internet all the time through their phones and pcs

I sometimes imagine what kind of suifuel it could be to me if I lived the last days of 1999. I was very depressed when 2019 changed to 2020. Before that I went to the yard of a big building which was waiting to be demolished. I got drunk there alone and it was cold and pretty dark outside.

Anywhere between 2007-2009 and the mass adoption of smartphones. Of course, I didn't get to see those days, but it's still brutal.

@Sheogorath will disagree with me.

my disagreement will basically amount to saying I don't give a fuck and trying to pick best year is like trying to pick best loli stop wasting your time on this bullshit

No 1998 for my height
No 1998 for my autism

My contention with you is your denial of the truth. You say your generation didn't have it better, but they really did. Socialization in this era is dead, and it'll only just get worse.

You lived in a golden time and squandered your chance either purposely or because of circumstances outside your control. Now you're fighting an uphill battle.

I think that kind of life continued to early 2000s.
People met more in real life.

People who were on internet were shamed for it. Then normies ruined it by flooding it with their presence

you zoomer boys have phones to call whatever girl you like stop fucking whining

can any oldcels confirm? what was 1998 like? what was life life? how was life different after 1998?
Completely different. In the early 90s, there was never a feeling like you couldn't talk to anyone. Women had no choice but to communicate with the people around them.

Once cell phones became a thing, everything quickly changed. Girls suddenly were always busy. And they were, with the actual attractive people they could contact 24/7 on their devices.

Mobile technology enabled hypergamy to proceed very quickly, and it happened in combination with 3rd wave feminism taking over.

I was 8 years old in that very city at the time....

Things were just simpler. The internet itself hadn't REALLY existed at the time, certainly not to the point of being a household thing. People only communicated in person or on the landline phone at home. Probably most of these phones had cords at the time that were short so you were stuck talking in whatever part of the house the phone was in.

The TV shows and movies were way better. That and video games (SNES, Sega Genesis) seemed like the primary form of entertainment for a lot of people. People were a lot more socially adept. No one staring in their phones. Michael Jordan.....NBA....golden age of hip-hop music....

You should watch Taxicab Confessions.

But eh, rose-tinted goggles...the simplicity was definitely a plus though.

I meant irl socialization.

And Millennials had phones and computers; it's not like you lived in the Middle Ages, except that that didn't actually interfere with irl interactions.

There was no where near as much emphasis on the phone then as today.

At most, the phone was just something you used to communicate between in-person meetups. These days the phone is the primary communication method, even over in-person. People will be in the same small house and text each other back and forth.

Screen/phone time was minimal for most people unless it was their job or they were just a chatty bitch or something.

2012 was when the world ended

2012 was the peak, but things have dropped off like a roller coaster.

Though I think if you were a white guy, maybe 1998 was best
