Zoomers are talking about "face-card" in the sense that "her face-card never declines at the club" = "she's so good looking that she's always let into the club". It's obviously good that lookism is popularised but they don't see the extent of how one's face card can be declined. Our face cards decline us from having friends, from people smiling at us, from getting proper help in a store and of course, our face cards decline in the pursuit of getting a romantic partner. Our face cards always decline. We have no currency in this world at all because of how our faces look.

It would be good if this metaphor was widened from just "pretty privilege" to encompass the way that lookism actually stops you from participating in society.

Not really a new concept. I remember back in the day there was a term in my language called "face limit" basically implying that you have to have a certain level of attractiveness to achieve something. For example a face limit to a party means that if you are ugly, you won't be invited etc.
