Four years ago I asked a girl out, she (of course) said no. I fell into deep depression, at the time I would have given anything to relive halcyon, I digress. One day I sat at a bench next to that girl as I usually would; we spoke for time's sake. A Chad approached us and sat to my left (the girl was to my right). In this position I was between the two who were now locked into conversation. I felt a bit truculent because of the way they spoke to each other but there was no need for me to be anxious. At one point she stared at me and said, "hey can you trade seats with Chad?" At once I knew what had happened. I was heartbroken she remained insouciant. A week later they dated and a month after that they were split; she broke up with him because of his personality, she told me. Logically I can only come up with the following conclusion. When she fell for him it was because of his looks and not because of his personality.
