About two weeks ago, I was attending a big dinner event. I'd have rather stayed home of course, but the dinner was sponsored by the company I work for and not attending would have not been good for my careermaxxing efforts.
Anyway, I was minding my own business as usual, when I overheard a foid and Norman arguing about some bullshit like music tastes. As they were disagreeing, the foid ended the discussion by saying "De gustibus non disputandum est" (Latin for "In matters of taste, there can be no disputes"). As I extensively studied Latin, I knew that the correct quote was "De gustibus non est disputandum", so I promptly corrected her. She obviously didn't believe me, so I urged her to check online and she had to shut up once she realised that I was right.
It's stupid, I know, but I always feel good when I manage to put a foid in her place
