This study highlights the great leaps "autistic women" have taken over autistic men (and some NT women) in regard to dating
some notable finds from this study: (i give credit to this person for giving me the inspiration to post this and exposing me to this study)
(* represents autistic women outperforming NT women)
- Only 53.7% of autistic guys have held someone's hand, while 92.6% of autistic women have held someone's hand *
- 80.5% of autistic men and 96.6% of NT men have hugged someone compared to 100% of autistic women and 97.3% of NT women *
- 77.8% of autistic women have kissed someone on the lips, while 41.9% of autistic men have (mouth closed)
- 22% of autistic men have french kissed, while 63% of autistic women have french kissed (with tongue)
- 42.5% of autistic men had a relationship, 81.5% of autistic women have had one (only 1% less than NT women)
- 26.8% of autistic men have engaged in any sexual experience before, and 59.3% of autistic women have (oral, anal, intercourse, foreplay, etc.)
this is where i divert from his findings.
Despite autistic women's having a huge advantage in the dating experience department, they seem make to even more mistakes/unwanted moves than autistic men:
- 12.2% of autistic men (5 n count for ALL situations listed later, might possibly be the exact same people) have agreed to have sex with people and regretted it later, have agreed to have sex with people even though they did not want to, and have initiated sexual behavior with someone even though they did not want to
- with 11 n count (12.2%) of autistic men reporting sexual habits (and not specifying if they wanted to or not), we can assume these 5 belong to the 12.2% of men, and we can assume 45% of men (5/11) where... what reasons women use to wave off their poor sexual habits? Pressured? Tricked? you tell me
for autistic women:
44.4% (12 n count) have agreed to have sex with people and regretted it later, 48.1% (13 n count) have agreed to have sex with people even though they did not want to, and 40.7% (11 n count) have initiated sexual behavior with someone even though they did not want to. when applying the same criteria as we did the men, with 16 n count (59.3% of the women reported sexual habits) we can find:
- 75% have agreed to have sex with people and regretted it
- 81% have agreed to have sex with people even though they did not want to
- and 68% have initiated sexual behavior with someone even though they did not want to
these numbers greatly outpace the men's.
- Even more evidence that supports my findings. 90% of autistic women have been a victim of sexual assault
- since we are men, we are conditioned at birth to take responsibility for our shortcomings. if this happened to us, society would not care. but since they are women, they get all the love.
- Now, someone would probably say (hey blackhitler, if autistic women have more sex/relationships than the men, then it would make sense they make more poor decisions duhh)
but that is exactly my point. to even get at the stage of talking about sex before it happens, to even find someone willing to do it with you, to even be considered a potential sexual mate, to even make the decisions and look the part for someone to find you attractive enough, would take pre-selection. it would take already being familiar with good and bad practices. they did not listen to the women before them.
- take this stat found in the study. most autistic men learned sex related topics from their THERAPIST and SCHOOL (75%).
IMAGINE BEING SO UNPERCEIVED AS ATTRACTIVE YOU YOUR PARENTS, YOUR SIBLINGS, OR YOUR FRIENDS KNEW YOU WOULDNT HAVE SEX OR FIND A GIRL. IF AN AUTISTIC MAN TOLD A NT MAN THIS, HE WOULD BE AN OUTCAST
- women do not have this problem; in learning about sex related topics for them from the school and therapist, it is only 33%.
- 33% of autistic women learn about sex from their family and friends; only 25% for autistic men
rant over, some topics to consider:
- if we assume the cause of autism can be influenced by genes (from autistic people passing it on--this is not the only theory), and some people try to convince autistic men not all hope is lost since "well autism is passed down yah yah yah" we have a shot. this study proves it is most likely the WOMEN passing it down
- are these women even autistic? could they just be nerds? go ahead and type in "autism" in r/fakedisordercringe and tell me what gender the people in the tiktoks are comprised of.
i will spell check in the morning lol im tired
