It's because we prove their worldview wrong.

Our existence alone proves that everything that they believe is a lie. They want to say that their personality or their morals or their hard working ethics is the reason behind their success. They don't want to believe that it's based solely on genetics. They want to believe that women are morally good and upright people and that they would never reject or treat someone like shit just because they're ugly. They want to believe what they want to believe.

I know you guys are probably not religious but there's a good verse that fits this.

2 Timothy 4:3

"For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear."

They just want to believe what they want to believe. They are not concerned with the truth.
